How do sliding scale memberships work?
Our goal is to make fitness accessible for everyone, regardless of financial circumstances. The sliding scale membership is not a deal or a steal, and we are only able to offer this because of folks who have more access to wealth who are willing to pay the full price. The sliding scale options work exactly the same as the full-priced membership; They allow you to sign up for unlimited classes and will renew at that selected price each month. We just ask that you are honest about what you can afford and select accordingly. The idea is that no matter what price you are paying everyone with a membership is sharing the same proportional financial burden with their membership.
-
How do I sign up?
We use a scheduling software called FitDegree. This is where you sign up for memberships, class packages, view available classes, and sign up for drop-ins. Simply click on the class you want to register for and follow the prompts. All of this information can be accessed through our “Sign Up” tab.
-
Where should I park?
There is street parking in front of the studio and in the block surrounding the studio. Please do not park in the lot across from Beaver Ave. We recommend giving yourself extra time during rush hour to find a parking spot and walk a block or two to the studio.
-
Are men allowed?
Yes! While our first priority is making people who have been historically excluded from gyms feel comfortable in our space, any gender can join in and benefit from our classes. We don’t program our classes for “women’s fitness,” we program for fitness, period.
-
How much is a drop-in?
Most single drop-ins are $20. Our Friday night classes are always $8. Mostly Community Workouts are free-will donation classes. We do not offer first-class free.
-
Can I walk in or do I need to pre-register?
We do not accept walk-ins. All class attendees must pay and be pre-registered through FitDegree beforehand with waivers signed.
-
Can I bring a friend with me?
Of course you and a friend can attend classes together. However, every person who attends class needs to create their own account in FitDegree and register for classes through their own account. If you are wanting to pay for their classes, you can send an account balance through FitDegree (you must be friends in FitDegree to do this), or buy them a gift card!
-
How do I cancel my membership?
While we’re sad to see you go, we understand if you need to cancel your membership. You can do this from your FitDegree account: My Details > Payment Options > Select your membership > Review terms and submit cancellation. You will receive an email confirmation of the cancellation.
Purchasing a different membership will not cancel your current one, and removing your card from your account will not cancel your membership. If you have any questions just send us an email!

All the classes I want to take are full... how can I get into these classes?
Our fitness classes are limited to 6-16 people so that we can provide the best and safest classes, but they do fill up quickly. Please note that you are able to sign up 7 days out from the current date. Our regulars sign up every day for the next available class as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, get on the waitlist! More often than not, a spot will open and you’ll be able to get into class.
-
What class should I take?!
Take whatever class you want! If you’re worried about participating, know that every class will offer different variations for each exercise so you can find what works best for you day to day. Our trainers are here to help you be successful! Some classes are by nature more intense, and you will see that reflected in the assigned “difficulty level” for each class in FitDegree.
-
Do you have beginner classes?
The bulk of our classes are appropriate for all levels. Classes are kept intentionally small so that trainers can provide one-on-one attention. If you are new, we will walk you through each workout every step of the way. The descriptions in FitDegree will give you more information on which classes have pre-requisites prior to registering as well as the intensity of the class.
